The first eclipse of the year is happening on Monday, March 25th at 3:00 am EST, and it’s a lunar eclipse in Libra. This Libra lunar eclipse is also a Full Moon in Libra. Because eclipses and Full Moons signify a culmination point, we can expect some dynamic realizations around our relationships during this eclipse.
The breakdown.
Eclipses occur when the Earth, moon, and sun perfectly align. In the case of a lunar eclipse, the Earth moves between the Moon and the Sun, casting a shadow over the face of the Moon.
Usually, the Full Moon is a time during the month when we can shed and release whatever the Sun illuminates. But because the light of the Sun is blocked during a lunar eclipse, what gets revealed to us is often the feelings that live in the shadowy aspects of our being, like our subconscious minds.
Eclipses highlight the pair of signs they fall within — typically four times a year. Monday’s eclipse may be the first of the year, but it isn’t the first eclipse we’ve had along the Libra-Aries axis. Here’s where it gets interesting.
