A place for storytellers.

It’s 1997, and a spiral cord stretches and winds across the room, connecting the handset—carefully cradled between shoulder and chin—to the wall unit. This is where stories have been told for generations, whether it’s a tasty bit of gossip, news of someone's passing or birth, the beginning or end of a love story, or a quick but necessary check-in with kinfolk.

The Landline is a digital publication that honors our storytelling lineage.

Here we tell stories that are informed by our past, firmly planted in the now, and guided by our imagination of the future. This is a space for truth-tellers, curious wanderers, wounded optimists, wild creatives, and anyone who feels perpetually in transition.
